MY 97 YAMAHA OUTBOARD IS HAVING A HARD TIME TILTING UP AND DOWN, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I ON THIS HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, DO I RE-FILL THE HYDRAULIC FLUID.

The filler neck for the power trim/tilt is located (on mine) on the starboard side of the pump assy - look for a knurled cap about the size of a nickle.
To check the fluid level, raise the outboard all the way up and drop the locking levers down for safety. Remove the filler cap and fill with fluid (Dexron -2 ATF) just to the bottom of the filler neck.
This procedure is in the owners manual. If you do not have one, go to www.yamahapubs.com and download one for free. The shop manual will cost you around $60 - if you are going to be doing your own maintenance, get one.
