Power Trim gauge reads incorrectly

Hi could somebody help tell me why my power trim gauge is reading incorrectly? My thought my original power trim gauge was at fault (gauge read trim is down when in reality it is more than 50% up). I replaced the gauge and wire with a new gauge and wire but is still reading incorrect in the same manner. Is there another part that could be at fault that may need testing/ replacement???
What do I need to do to get this resolved?

loose,broken cam @ sensor, seized sensor
follow wires on left side to sensor
