  • F100 Oil pump replacement options

    Hi there,

Thanks for your reply regarding seals for this pump being unavailable.
Because the pump is so expensive here (NZ $1,185 !!) I pulled the power head again to be sure that was where my leak is coming from, and I'm afraid it is.

You mentioned that the pump seals are replacable from 2003 onwards which got me to thinking and doing a bit of comparison research to see if I can use a 2003 pump in my 2000 model (in case I ever blow a seal in the future).

The part number for my original pump is 67F-13300-01-00.
    The part number for a 2003 F90 is 67F-13300-10-00 (couldn't see an F100 listed in 2003).

The exploded parts images look very similar, with the exception that the 2003 is repairable of course.

The 2003 oil pump fits a range of motors from the 75hp through to the 115hp, so pump capacity should not be an issue.

The upper casings, 67F-41137-01-94, "GUIDE, EXHAUST", that the oil pump bolts onto have identical part numbers across the 2000 and 2003 ranges, which would indicate that the oil pump would fit into the 2000 housing.

The drive shaft, 67F-45501-10-00, is also the same part number across the range indicating that the splines in the oil pump are in the same place relative to the crankshaft splines.

So to me it would look like the 2003 oil pump would fit the 2000 model. What are your thoughts?

    Regards,
    Kenniff
