Prop comes out of the water

Gents,
Re 0X66 series.
Haven't had it happen to me yet but have heard of it happening. When we have those spirited rides in a heavy chop when the prop may come out of the water what is the best thing to do?
1) Pull back sharply on the throttles and risk going into reverse.
2) Do nothing and hope the RPM limiter keeps the engine from grenading.
3) Don't run the boat like a azz hole

Yea, yea number 3 is the correct answer but just amuse me...

yes - #3 ranks way high up there....but experience and reflexes will pull back on that throttle pretty damn quick!!
