OK, here is a really dumb question. I purchased a 1989 40 HP outboard (manual cord-pull starter) last year and had a major carb overhaul when I didn't winterize, and I think it had also been years of gunk buildup. It cost me much $$. Now I'm going to winterize it and have the stabilizer/fogger, just need to be sure I'm doing this right, particularly given I don't have a manual. So here's the question -- is the carburetor behind the plastic pannel right below the rope cord (has 4 screws to remove it)? It must be, just seems odd it would have so little air-flow. And, do I just spray the fogger on all 3 until it dies?
