Hi all - problem is the motor will some times not turn over-nothing just the hum and click of the starting sequence(sp) (happening more and more often!!!) the fix to get it to start is to move the(tiller) shift leaver back and forth a # of times, this seem to work every time. Part #46 net. safe. switch in the Yam. "control" diagram, has been eliminated, the female end of the wire connection was cut off and the wires joined so it cant be that. It will not start in gear.
I see there is what i would call a second net. safe. switch? located on the starboard side in the bottom cowling (if you follow the shift linkage you will see it. A button is held in by an inch long s.steel strip that is pushed in by part of the shift linkage(arm?) If the plastic clip off fuse area cover is removed it can be seen easy. Would this be the next thing to look at ......help. Thank you.
