2006 90 hp yamaha

Motor runs good for the first couple of minutes but after that the alarm goes off and its starts stalling out. Motor is spraying water and has plenty of oil. I took the hood off and it seemed hotter than it should. Any ideas?

check your cooling system starting with water intakes, impeller, thermostat, etc. before you run motor again. Good Luck!

pull the head and water jacket. i think you will find the water passages to be plugged with salt (corrosion)
