Yamaha gauges trim gauge

It appears my trim gauge isn't working. I have the command link digital gauges and an '04 150 4 stroke. Anyone have any idea how I could fix this? Thanks

Check to see if trim cam is broken, it's a black plastic band that goes goes around tilt tube on front of transom bracket. Check that lever on trim sender moves up and down without sticking.

You are probably right, boats.net. Yamaha has upgraded the trim clips to metal from plastic. It seems this is a common issue. I have a 2007 F150TLR, and I have replaced my trim cam already.

Plastic Cams

I had changed my plastic cams more than once. I called Yamaha, and they sent me the metal upgrades. FREE. Now, I think I may have installed them improperly because I got nothing at the Gauges. I'll wait till I yank the boat in a month or so to figure it out.
