My V Max 150 Carb has 70 lbs. in the #6 cylinder all other cylinder have 120 lbs. I pulled the head and found the head gasket it to be wet up to the metal ring on the #6 cylinder. The metal ring had no burn marks on it. I have minor scuffing inside the cylinder wall .005 buildup.
Here is my question, With the direct oil injection, where is the overflow from the crankcase? I saw a 3/16 wide by about .005 deep line on the cylinder wall, is this the overflow or is this damage. The other 2 cylinders on that side do not have the same 3/16 by .005 line.
What I want to do is replace the head gasket and see if my compression comes back up to a good range. In doing so can I possibly damage my engine further?
Did I discover a design flaw? Because other V Max carb's had similar issues with the same cylinder.
