Digital tach kit compatibility

Can anyone tell me if the 6YR-W0035-E0 tach kit will work on my 1990 40 horse outboard (40ESD).

No the 1990 motor uses different wire harness, there was adapters to make work but not sure if any are still available.
Part number is 6H0-ADPKT-93-94 adapter
