2004 150 Vmax tilt indicator

Tilt motor works, but indicator shows all the way up. Is there a sensor on tilt assembly somewhere that could be fouled? I looked at diagrams but nothing jumps out at me. Please help!!

trim problems

thanks, the cam was broken, fixed now. No dice though. Which lever could be stuck? Would the sending unit be bad if it shows trimmed all the way up on the gauge, but will not reflect motor movement?

tilt motor all the way up and move sender via hand, you should see the gauge move with it.

did you install cam against sender so when it tilts the cam moves sender?

sender can also be seized from salt.
