1997 250 TURV ox66 efi w/temp light and rpm reduction problem

motor is in title, thermoswitches are good, motor doesnt physicly get hot, alarm does work (found out checking thermoswitches) but only light is flashing and stuck in redux mode. There is a sensor that is located (if looking at spark plugs) on rt side between bottom and middle plug with a single greenwire coming out looks like a 1" bolt with gel insulator filling up the head that resistance goes up (from 280kohms to about 350k ohms) when ran and resistance is only checkable when motor not running, service manual kinda led me to thinking that is the thermosensor but not positive (if it is the thermosensor then its telling the motor its getting colder with running) and there are no blockages in the motor either but havent pulled thermostats

The sensor you found is the knock sensor. There is a temp sensor on the top of the block. Should be a two wire yelllow and black if I'm not wrong.

that explains a little, ill check tomorrow with some sunlight, was kinda stumped on a single wire deal, and the manual is very vague and kinda misleading at times
