1999 225 Saltwater Series Hot Start Problem

We have 2 - 225's on the boat. One starts hard when hot, fine when cold. Hot start fires but dies off immediately and will do so on repeat tries. If starting hot with throttle slightly open, then it starts and returns to a normal idle. So far, routine stuff checked--- decarbon, change plugs, clean O2 sensor. What would be the next step?
