I need a measurement

I am switching to the single 704 control from the 703 I have on the side of my console. I need to see if the 704 will fit and wanted to see if anyone could measure the base for me.

One more thing I measured the control cables from end to end. They were 12" long. Is that the right way to measure them because I need to order them as well.

I have the 704 and I would say it is roughly 6" long by 3" wide overall. When you get the control it will have a cut out that is about 1/2" less all the way around for the cut out. It extends 7-8" down into the console. Always go a little longer on the cable so they have some slack for the motor to turn. End to end is how I usually measure then I add a foot for your bends and turns.
