94 Pro V 200 starter

Should I have some resistance between the upper and lower lugs on my starter. I am having a problem with the crank battery being drained down to the point to where it will not recharge. The engine will crank but will not stay running with key released.

The starter shouldn't drain the battery unless it's engaged. Sounds like you have a bad ignition switch.
