Yamaha 85 Ignition Switch

I recently rebuilt my pontoon. When I finished reconnecting wiring and controls the motor fired right up and runs great after sitting in my driveway for about 6 months. My problem is it won't turn off. I turn the key off, but motor continues to run. I've rechecked all wiring but I can't find the problem.

Check the white wire to see if disconnected from ignition switch, it could be broken inside main 10 pin harness going from key switch to engine.

yamaha 1999 90hp wont turn off

I have the same problem- my 90 hp 1999 yamaha starts and runs fine but will not turn off. I can turn off and remove the key and the kill switch and the motor just keeps on running! I've replaced the entire key and kill swich panel twice now to no avail. sometimes it will shut off but most of the time it wont. please help all the wiring seems to be in order.
