lower unit drain bolt

I believe I may have stripped the inside of the lower unit drain hole by tightening the bolt too tight. I checked the bolt and it looks ok. Does anyone know what to do in this situation. Any feedback is appreciated.

Yeah, I worry about this every time I tighten the drain plug myself. I think I would try a bolt that is the next size larger and tapping the hole for it. Or you might try one of those "heli-coils" with a good quality thread sealer.
