704 controls

I bought a pair of Yamaha F90s to put on two boats, the controls were conneted together, I have seperated the controls but the wireing harness has a few common wires contected to both harnesses. In need of wireing diagram to seperate them. Any help would be greatful for.

Not sure which control box you have but there shouldn't be any wires connected togather unless it's a 704 dual binnacle contriol box. It would just be the power trim wires.

your are right it is a dual binnacle, and yes I believe it is the trim wires aswell. any ideas on how to seperate them. it's not a simple wire for wire swap. wire color is not the same on each side.

any ideas on how to find a wireing diagram that may help?

No there is not a wiring diagram in the service manual for the control box.
