  • Ngk Plugs

I own a 150 Yamaha, the plugs that are in it are B8HS-10, went to a marina today and they sold me BR8HS-10 saying they the R is for a resistor. They told me if anyone rides in my boat using non R plugs with a heart pacemaker or monitor it could set it off? Is it a crock? Manual says B8HS-10 are the BR8HS-10 new? What should I use.

The resistor plugs keep static noise from interferring w/ your radio. They will work just fine in your motor. I have the same one. As far as pace makers....haven't heard that one before. Couldn't hurt though.

      plugs

I just changed out my old plugs the other day w / the same kind, B8HS-10.
They work fine, stay with the recommended parts.

Check the local auto parts stores...

You can find the NGK B8HS-10 plugs at most any autopart store for $2 or less. The -10 just means they are gapped from the factory at 1mm .

Got mine @ NAPA for $2.19 each, local marine parts dealer wanted $3.29 a piece saved 6 bucks.
