installing new Trim motor

I am replacing the trim / tild motor. I removed the motor only, not the pump housing.

when I removed the original motor from the base, there didnt seem to be any sealant used on the original assembly..

My question is what type of sealant, if any should I use between the pump housing, and the motor base?

you can use a marine grease on the o-ring
