F150 Water - Gas **** Box--Exchanger or Filter

I have good water flow to the top of a "****" box on the starboard side of my F150 so I know the new water pump is working and cooling the motor.

One side of this "**** box" has water in and water out to the tell tale. The other side has gas in and out.

The line from the box to the tell tale outlet is clear, it did have some "grud" in it.

Can someone tell me what the "**** box" does and if I can try to clean out the water side with a coat hanger wire? I suspect it is clogged with hard dirt or mud. I just bought the boat and motor and it has set for about 6 months in Florida as a repro.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Fuel Cooler Clogged

Turns out it is the "Fuel Cooler" and the water side seems to be clogged.
Do you have a diagram of that part with a price list.

Or any experience with getting one unclogged?
