2003 Round Digital Guages

I have a 2003 model 150HP with the round digital guages. One of the guages has a PT&T bar on the right hand side of the guage. The bar goes up and down depending on the position of the motor. My guage is stuck at the top regardless of the motor position. The guage just continuosly stays on full tilt as if the motor was still trying to go up. Has anyone had this problem and do you know how to fix? I've taken it to a dealer and they were no help.

The trim sender on motor bracket may be stuck, spray it with oil may can loosen up.

I did try this tonight, and, although the sender was stuck and I did free it up, the gauge is still not working properly. I also notice that the little plastic stop bracket was broken. I'm sure I need to replace it, but would that effect the gauge, or do you think that I might need to replace the trim sender.

Yes you need to replace plastic cam, use part number 99999-03830-00 the new metal one.

Will that have any effect on the guage working?

If plastic cam is broken then gauge wont read correctly.
