my 70 hp 2006 Yamaha when put in idle position will cough and **** until it cuts out with a violent hic up.
I just had the carburators cleaned by a Yamaha dealer because the ethenol had clogged them all. I think this idle problem existed even before that problem.
One book tells me that the low speed jets are clogged but I can't identify any low speed jets.
Once the boat is in gear and moving the problem goes away but since I've got a floating dock the idling is critical to hitting the dock in the proper place and at the proper speed to get it up on the dock.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
