Resetting dual motors with Cmd Link gauges

I have a customer that is unable to see total fuel used on his E series Raymarine unit. The Ray DOES see two motors BUT does not count-down total fuel used--UNLESS he shuts one engine off. Raymarine says that his initial setup with the motor & gauges was not done correctly and will cuase this. So, how do I reinitiate his command link gauges to his motors. I understand Port motor turned on first....but I am a bit scketchy after that. So, again, it's the "setting up the meters" first time. I need to do this procedure again.

Any help would be appreciated.
