slow plain

have 1989 Yamaha pro v 150 when I take off it takes time to plain out and get up and go I have had the carbs cleaned 3 times already, cleaned out both gas tanks and replaced all the lines. I also added sea foam. but it still wont take off like it use too. It will eventually get up to speed it just takes a min. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you changed props? Have you done a compression test?

HI, have you painted the bottom?
Have you checked the bottom for groth of marine life, barnicals, Etc.

Other things to consider...I the prop perfect? no dings, damage, etc? Even a few small nicks or dings can have a very big difference in performance. Is the boat kept in the water? If so, the hull can absorb quite a bit of water and make the performance seem sluggish. After storing it this winter, you may find that the performance comes back. If so, then the water weight might be it. Lots of things to look at.
