Yamaha V225 Saltwater Series II

Hello. I'm about to purchase a 1999 Century with the Yamaha V225 Saltwater Series II motor. Id love to hear some of your opinions of this motor & any advice you may have.

The motor runs & sounds great. How can I find out how many hours are on this motor? Is there any kind of internal hour meter in the motor?
Aside from a compression check, what are some ways to determine the condition of an older 2 cycle outboard?

The compression was 110 psi cold in all 6 cylinders.

They are good motors. No there is no way of telling operating hours on engine. Check the lower unit oil to see if has water in it and if any metal on drain screw magnet.
