1996 150 NOT GOING INTO REVERSE OR NUTRAL!! please help

This morning i replaced the impeller on a 96 yamaha 150. When i put the lower unit back on and tried starting it with it in neutral it fired up in forward , while the throttle was in neutral. I dont know if this happened from taking the lower unit off or what. somebody please help

youll need to drop lower unit again and match shift shaft position with throttle position.
