runabout steering adjustment

Hi, the steering mechanism on my 5 metre Quintrex alumin boat seems to slip when turning sharply at low speed. It is cable type and rattling noise is behind steering wheel. The cable was replaced recently by previous owner. Is this an adjustment problem and if so could you please advise how to do ? Thanks, Darsee.

No there is is no adjustment for that , it sounds like the steering helm is bad, gears stripped out.
It will probably be cheaper to replace the whole system rather than just the helm
