2002 150 Vmax oil and temp alarm for no reason

G'day everyone, I think my motor is messed up (hopefully not too bad). It runs great, the problem is the low oil warning and over temp horn sounds all the time, and both lights are illuminated. I had my local mechanic (not a Yamaha dealer) look it over, he tested all the wiring and checked the sensors, he said they were all fine. He said it looks like the control module (ecm) is messed up. The part is pretty expensive, is there anyway to be sure this is the problem before I pay to replace it? Thanks to any help you all can offer!

You might want to get a service manual and an ohm meter and retest sensors before replacing ECU.
