Primer pump leak?

Just bought boat with twin 1999 225 Yams-Have a fuel drip on what people tell me is a Stewart Warner electric fuel primer pump in the bilge right after the fuel filter canisters. I was told boat manufacturers are not allowed to use them anymore and I should replace it with a bulb.??? Thanks

I agree with them, replace elect fuel pump with a primer bulb.
