  • compresion on 1989 175 cold

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me what comp should be on this motor cold Thanks Jason have between 100 to 110 psi

Though pressure is important what is just as important is that the cylinders are within 10%-15% of each other. This tells you that the cylinders are wearing evenly and getting the right fuel/oil that the engine needs. 100-110 cold is not that bad. If it's running properly and you're happy with the performance you can get another 3-5 years out of it without seeing the readings change. If you were down to 85-90 it would be time for new rings.
