lower unit compatibility

I need a lower unit for my 1986 220 V6 Special J
20 inch shaft as I have lost reverse gear.
What years are compatible with this engine as I am trying to find something on ebay? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

According to parts list only 1985-86 V6 Special will work.

Other V6 model gearcase may work but I don't know that for sure.

counted flywheel teaath and it looks like the gear ratio is 1/1.75. Will this info help me find a lower unit compatible to my v6 special J 220 HP?

All the V-6 Special used same gear ratio.
