Digital Fuel gage flashing F60 Outboard

Help. I have a 2004 F60TLRC installed on my Lund boat. I just bought the two of them. The Multi-Function Speedometer (6Y5-83570-S5-00) fuel gage shows less than 1/4 full fuel tank and flashes constantly. The fuel tank is full.

The owners' manual for either the Yamaha outboard or Lund boat (1600 ProSport) are of any help.

If there is another fuel gauge in boat then one of them would not be used. If it's the only or main fuel gauge then check that the white wire on speedo is connected to pink fuel tank sender wire. You can test gauge by grounding pink wire at fuel sender, with key on gauge should read full, if does probablt a bad fuel sender.
