Engine Question?

This weekend when I put my Yamaha 100hp in reverse I cracked a plastic piece that was hooked to a metal rod. Looks like there are two of these one forward one reverse? But now I have no reverse and have no clue what the part name is to fix it. Any Help? (All I can say is it is about 2-3 inch in length and black plastic)
