HI,
Just thought i waould add this to the forum as i was pulling my hair out.
Last got engine Yammie 85AE 1979--->
poor pee hole squirt so changed impeller,
better, so went out on test.
In tank back home cleaning out-- bad pee hole squirt again.
Ran it for too long and melted impeller after inspection.
Changed impeller again along with alloy base as it snapped when removed.
This year , first run in tank, bad pee squirt.
AFTER MUCH STRESS--- turned out that the hole from engine was getting a bit blocked by moving debris, but main culprit was that the engine needs the foot very low in the test tank on this age engine, far above the intake ducts.
On my other engine it seems to syphon water from ducts far easier.
When on the water i suppose the water has a ram effect when going forward.
Hope this helps anyone in the same distrught state that i found myself in!
