Is it a hard job to replace the steering shaft. I probably have to remove the engine to replace the shift rod. The stering shaft is well rusted so while apart might as well do both. I am very capable but is the a real hard job or just time consuming. I have time.

The engine, upper housing has to be removed. Not that hard if all the bolts come out.
