Rewire 703 control?

I have a pull to open 703 control with a 7 pin harness. My motor is an 89 40hp (40HEO) with a 10 pin connector. Can I rewire my control to a 10pin cable set to work with this motor. The motor does not have trim/tilt.

You could replace main harness in 703, the only difference between 7 pin 10 pin is the trim switch wires.

The 10 pin harness for 703 is part number 688-8258A-20-00
