Smoke From Prop

After flushing the motor with running water, I noticed smoke coming from the prop and the smell of oil. Is this normal? There is also no sign of oil dripping.

I had removed the prop and there were no line or debris immediately behind the prop. I did not remove anything beyond that point. Any suggestion or thoughts on this?

You didn't mention what motor you have but if it's a 2 stroke engine it will smoke.
