Lower drive question

What is the meaning of that nipple and hose stuff what should to be front of shift cam assembly?
I mean part numbers 6E5-45378-00 and 90445-07ME9 what i found in the Yamaha part catalog.
My Yamaha`s lower case haven`t got that kind of parts ,only empty hole?

That is for a speedometer hookup.The Lower unit has speedo pickup built in it
