T8D alternator connection

Bought a T8D late last year. Cannot find in either the manual supplied with the engine or the on line manuals where to hook up the 12v to charge the lights on the boat. Can anyone help with a wiring diagram or at least advise where to pick up the 12v without going searching with a fluke? Somewhat concerned as in all the literature it mentions high alternator output but unlike Hondas there doesn't appear to be anywhere to pick it up from

The T8 should be electric start which has the battery cables to connect to a battery. Is yours a elect start model?
