I have a 2004 F 150 TXRC on my boat. I recently installed a Yamaha fuel mangement gauge, which is working fine. However, the instructions say that the white wire from the FM gauge goes to the gps and also says that the black and red wires should not be used. My question is: shouldn't there be another wire (such as the black wire) in addition to the white wire connected between the FM gauge and the gps to complete the circuit between them? With no information coming from the gps to the FM gauge the mpg figures are not displayed on the FM gauge. All other functions of the gauge are working properly. Thanks in advance.
