My 115 will start to miss and the alarm will sound when I run it wide open. It has plenty of oil and seems to be pumping water. It will start to miss, and the alarm will go off, but after a few seconds, you can open her back up
I bet it is the over heat sensor. Yamies are sensitive to this. I have 2 of them pumping water and going into RPM reduction mode or to the verge of over heating. Replace the impeller.
