I have a 2000 26 Regulator with OX66 225s. Right now I have the standard issue props from yr 2000. 14 7/8" x 21" SWS, 6R4-45972-A0-00, 6R1-45972-A0-00. Right now at Cruise (3900-4000 rpms) I pull 37-38 mph. Wide Open (5400-5500) is about 54-56 mph respectively. My best performance seems to come at 3900 rpms where I am burning 23-24 gph.
Recently I was talking to a friend who got a set of the new Yamaha Saltwalter Series II props that are slightly different 15 x 21". Does anyone think that it is worth trying his props to see if the performance is better? Does anyone have any experience with the new series of props? My goal is to achieve the best cruise speed with the least gph.
