  • starting problems (electrical)

I have a 2003 F115LTRB on my Bennington pontoon. I couldn't get it to start after it was stored for the winter. When I put the key in the ignition, I immediately hear a light buzz. When I turn the key, the starter clicks and the rotor engages the flywheel but wont turn. I replaced the battery and checked the battery connections and the wiring. I also had the voltage meter check for power verification several locations from the ignition to the starter motor. It checked out fine. I took off the starter from the motor and brought it to a starter/alternator repair shop , thinking I had a broken starter or solenoid. They tested it and said it was working just fine and humming beautifully. They said it might have something to do with the relay or the wiring to the ignition switch. I checked the fuses in the relay power strip and all checked out fine. So what should I do? Could it be the wiring inside the throttle lever or ignition at the controls?

check your battery cable, the wire itself. sometimes a pin hole in the outer casing allows moisture to get inside the cable. It will corode, voltage will go through the cable however not enough amperage will. sometimes you can feel a bad spot on the cable it will be hard, while the rest of the cable will be flexable

          starting problem on f50

Can you help me with this starting problem on my F50 carb motor. When I turn the key the starter turns flywheel but there is no spark coming out from plugs when i test them. The emergency lanyard cord is attached to the key switch panel when I am starting. What do you suggest I do to begin troubleshooting?
