Solvent for Carb cleaning

I plan on taking my carbs apart to clean them, what is the best solvent used for this purpose?....Thanks

I like CRC marine carb & choke cleaner, works for me.

I use Berryman Chemtool spray (Walmart). It's also available in pour cans for about $3. It'll burn through just about any gunk it finds in the carbs or your hands. Pour some in the fuel tank of your car or truck as well to clean the injectors.

what kind of problems are you having because i think im about to clean carbs too

The engine will not run at idle, once I give her some gas she runs fine, otherwise it stalls as soon as I bring the throttle back to idle. I am thinking it is my idle jets that are clogged.
