94 200hp timing procedure

can any one help with this, what is the timing

This is what synchronizes the valve shaft with the crank shaft. Needs the specs to set it up.

mike what happened to the timing lite I have used it on my evinrude and it works like a charm.after i try this procedure I'll put the lite on and see what happens

The timing light should still work and provide a good way to double check your work. At least for the idle timing.
