idle issue

Hopeing someone could shed some light on what would cause my 115 2 stoke not idling? Could this be a filter problem. A mechanic and suggested the 4 carbs would need rebuilding...I have 400hrs, second opinion anyone?

Dirty carbs is the most common reason for idle problems. Check compression before rebuilding carbs to make sure it's not a low compression problem.

Two carbs, pretty easy job should cost about $250.
Once it's done MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RACOR FUEL FILTER INSTALLED. These days plan on having done pretty often or learn how to do it yourself.
