MY 2005 F90 4 STROKE DEVELOPED A STRANGE NOISE AFTER ABOUT 20 HOURS OF USE. INTERMITTENTLY IT WILL SOUND LIKE A BELT SQUEAL UNDER THE ENGINE
COVER ,IT COMES AND GOES . SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATING AND SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS AT IDLE OR JUST OFF IDLE.IT WILL OCCUR FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN GO AWAY OR SOMETIMES IT WILL LAST LONGER. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE THE NOISE .I HAVE OVER 100 HOURS ON THE MOTOR NOW AND WHATEVER IT IS HAS NOT CAUSED ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE TO ANYTHING.I THINK IT MAY BE COMING FROM THE TIMING BELT RIDING DOWN TOO FAR ON THE PULLEYS BUT I CAN NEVER GET THE COVER OFF TO CHECK THE SOURCE WHEN IT OCCURS. ANY IDEAS?
