LCD Marine Meter, 130HP Yamaha 1993

I have a 130HP engine with the trim indicator on an LCD Marine meter on the console. a couple of months ago the bars that indicate my trim quit moving.
As soon as I turn the ignition on it darkens the first bar on the bottom and it does not move no matter where the engine tilt is positioned.
I have checked all the wiring and cleaned and lubricated all the connections. The tilt works instantly from the engine or from the console, this tells me there is not a hydraulic problem
Question? Is there a sending unit somewhere that tells this meter what to do?
if so where is it?

Check the trim sender that is mounted on transom bracket(just above trim motor). It has a spring loaded lever on it that should go back to up position when you move it down by hand, if stuck try to free up with oil.
