I am getting ready to change my first water pump and the service manual says to apply Yama Bond between the lower unit and midsection. However, I am good friends with a few Yamaha Outboard techs and they say that this is not necessary.
I am not going to question thier professionalism and go ahead and not apply the Yamabond, but have any of ya'll come accross this as well?
